Criminal Investigations Division is led by Captain John Tryner.
The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is committed to the investigation of all criminal activity. The Criminal Investigations Division (C.I.D.) serves the residents of Forrest County by conducting investigations over a broad spectrum of criminal activities. CID employs full-time law enforcement professionals, all who have specialized training in criminal investigations. CID assignments are General and Special Investigations. CID responds to, processes, and investigates all major crimes.
